Tracheostomy Tubes,

Standard Tracheostomy Tubes - Unomedical TT
Download: TT Brochure

Unomedical’s comprehensive portfolio of Tracheostomy Tubes covers a wide spectrum of clinical applications from emergency use to long term ventilation. All Tracheostomy Tubes from Unomedical have been designed with particular attention payed to increased patient safety. For example, integrated swivel connectors minimise the risk of cannula displacement; the Unomedical Colour Coding System helps to avoid high PEEP levels and/or high subatmospheric pressure levels in the lower airways during suctioning; integrated tapered distal tips and smooth cuff to shaft transitions by default reduce the level of traumatisation during percutaneous insertion techniques.

Unomedical TT
The new Generation in Standard Tracheostomy

The new generation of Unomedical Standard Tracheostomy Tubes has been developed in order to exceed the highest clinical prospects expected from Tracheostomy Tubes for standard applications today.
All Unomedical TT's include a variety of specifications increasing patient safety as well as improving ease of use, e.g. by default all adult tubes are equipped with tapered tips for eased insertion using percutaneous techniques.
Colour coded 15 mm connectors provide quick and easy identification of the correct suction catheter size, for prevention of alveolar collapse, hypoxemia and desaturation.

Tracheostomy Tubes with Adjustable Flange (TTAF)

Unomedical TTAF

The horizontal length of the Unomedical TTAF can be adjusted by a simple sliding and locking mechanism at the neck flange, in order to accommodate unusual anatomy or pathology, such as glottic oedema or obesity, providing a secure airway while avoiding the use of endotracheal tubes.
Unomedical TTAF tubes are available in different designs: with and without stainless steel wire reinforcement; with High Volume Low Pressure (HVLP) cuff or plain, without cuff.

Increased Patient Safety by Advanced Technology

The stainless steel wire of the reinforced Unomedical TTAF features the innovative UnoFlex technology using a flat coil wire. This special design provides space allowing for thicker protective layers around the wire, increasing the overall strength and resistance of the tube while maintaining a small outer diameter as well as outstanding softness and flexibility.

Tracheostomy Tubes with Inner Cannula (TTIC)

Unomedical TTIC
Increased Patient Safety and Improved Ease of Use

The wide range of Unomedical TTIC Tracheostomy Tubes has been designed for increased patient safety and improved easy of use.
  • Manufactured from one piece, excluding the possibility of tube dislodgement
  • Extra soft 3D moveable neck flange adapts perfectly to the anatomy, minimising the risk of skin irritation
  • High Volume Low Pressure Cuff provides a secure seal also under high ventilation pressures.
  • Tapered tip and soft cuff to shaft transitions allow for eased insertion using percutaneous techniques.
  • The Unomedical Colour Coding System minimises the risk of adverse events during endotracheal suctioning
  • Integrated swivel reduces torque from ventilator circuits

Tracheostomy Tubes with Inner Cannula and Subglottic Suction (TTIC SUCTION)

Unomedical TTIC SUCTION
  • In long-term mechanically ventilated patients subglottic secretions can accumulate above the cuff of a Tracheostomy Tube, representing an ideal growth medium for bacteria. By microaspiration along the cuff this contaminated secretion can pass into the lower respiratory tract and can become a potential cause of lower airway infection including ventilator associated pneumonia (VAP).
  • The Unomedical TTIC SUCTION Tracheostomy Tube features an integrated suction line with a suction port above the cuff. By simple suction procedures using a syringe or by utilisation of wall suction the Unomedical TTIC SUCTION enables effective removal of subglottic secretions in order to reduce the incidence of VAP.
